Questions are good answers are BETTER !
1. Q: What do I do if the slats will not tilt or turn on my blind?
A: It’s possible to continue turning the wand even if your slates are in a fully closed position – this is a protective feature that prevents the mechanism from breaking. However, if the blind is small, the tilter can potentially disengage. To re-engage the tilter if the slates are closed in a down position, turn the wand counter clockwise and at the same time pull down gently on the back string of the ladders (supporting the slats). If the slats are closed in the up position, turn the wand clockwise and gently pull down on the front string of the ladders. If the above steps do not correct the problem contact customer service for a return authorization number and repair costs or warranty coverage.
2. Q: Can I order additional slats for my blind?
A: Additional slats are available for purchase. To order, just contact us by clicking this link. Before you order, take a minute to measure your blind. You’ll need to know the width of the slat, as well as the route hole measurements, starting from the left of the blind working to the right.
3. Q: How do I shorten my blind control cords?
A: All control cords are normally 1/2 the length of the blind when manufactured. If you feel your control cords are too long, you can follow these steps to shorten.
Fully lower the blind, and then push the control cords through the tassel to expose the knot.
Move tassel up the cords to the desired end position, and then tie a new knot below the tassel. Make sure the knot is large enough to hold the tassel in place and prevent cords from slipping through.
Test new tassel location and cord length by raising and lowering the blind. If you are satisfied with new knot position, cut off the excess cord below the new knot.
